It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closing of Charleston Custom Cycle.  Sadly, owner Don Van Dusen passed away March 16, 2021.  See his obituary below.

 

Started in 1975, Charleston Custom Cycle was an institution in the NOS motorcycle parts industry for Harley-Davidson Aermacchi Parts and was the vision of one man — Donald G. Van Dusen.  Many people who knew him for decades simply called him VD.

If you ever called to place an order, or just called with a question, Don was there with his infinite wealth of knowledge to help you.

Every Harley-Davidson dealer in the U.S. and even others internationally, knew or knew of Don and Charleston Custom Cycle.  Don was a presence at swap meets, motorcycle races, and other motorcycle related events.

In his 46 years of business, Don touched a lot of lives.  He knew, literally, hundreds of people.  Losing him is a void that cannot be filled.  He will be missed.
